Borof Gola Nodi by Zahir Raihan is one of popular Bengali novel of Zahir
Raihan. The book was first published in 1969 at Uttaran Magazine. The
author describes - A
quintessential Bangladeshi middle class story with ups & downs,
nuances and tragedies of life. Very poignantly written, this is
arguably Zahir Raihan’s best novel and certainly one of the milestones
of contemporary Bangla literature. Zahir Raihan was famous
bengali author, story writer and also a filmmaker. He is well known for
his documentary “Stop Genoside” making on liberation war of Bangladesh
in 1971. The author full name was Abu Abdar Mohammad Zahirullah and
nick name was Zafar. He was born on 19 August 1935 in Feni District,
Bangladesh. Popular Books of Zahir Raihan are Hazar Bosor Dhore, Shes
Bikeler Meye, Ekhushey February, Borof Gola Nadi, Ar Konodin, Arak
Falgul etc He was awarded Bangla Academy Award in 1972. He also got
Adamjee Literature Award, Ekhushey Padak, Shadinata Dibash Puroshkar.
Zahir Raihan disappeared on 30 January 1972 when he was searching his
brother Shahidullah Kaisar in Mirpur area, Dhaka who was captured and
